Police Apartments - Buffalo NY

It’s been over a year since we last visited the repurposed Police Apartments located in the old Buffalo Police Headquarters at 74 Franklin Street. Owned by and operated by Douglas Development, the Police Apartments are modern, stylish living quarters that offer some great views of Downtown Buffalo. Douglas Development purchased the building for just over $3 million back in 2020.

Since our last visit work has continued on both the exterior and interior. The beautiful art-deco facade has been completely preserved as have many elements of the old police headquarters inside, but not there is some really high end signage found around the building. This gives off a somewhat quirky vibe that reminds you of the building’s historical significance while providing all the modern amenities that one would expect with downtown living.

Additionally, several of the common areas have been finished and now offer the building residents a handful of places to gather.

Downtown Buffalo’s Police Apartments

Ranging from studios to 2 bedroom units, there are some very unique layouts available. Have a look at all of the floor plans available to get an idea. There are a number of different amenities available to the residents of Police Apartments including a full gym, a lounge area, co-working stations, free wifi, storage units, a coffee station, a private dog park, and a dry cleaning service. There is an entire underground parking garage as well. The co-working stations are extremely unique as they have been built into the historic jail cell areas.
