Buffalo's Cornerstone Lofts

Buffalo’s Cornerstone Lofts

The old Bethlehem Church on the corner of Hoyt Street and Bird Avenue on Buffalo’s West Side has undergone a complete transformation recently. Now called Cornerstone Lofts, these brand new condos have brought life back into this beautiful structure which was built in 1909. Combining modern design with historic architecture, there are 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condos currently available for purchase.

It’s increasingly rare that an old Buffalo church is so well preserved and converted into livable spaces in such a tasteful manner. From the Cornerstone Lofts website, “Designed in 1909 by architect Martin C. Miller, Bethlehem Church was the home of a parish founded in 1891 on Buffalo’s West Side. Red-bricked, neo-gothic, and as gloriously proud as the community it served. Its handsome tower and attractive facade has remained a revered, well-regarded cornerstone of the community.”

Exposed Brick Features

There is beautifully exposed brick throughout all the condos. Many of the original masonry patterns were incorporated into the design.

The features in these condos include private street level entrance’s for each unit, open concept floor plans, ceilings stretching from 10ft to 18ft tall depending on which apartment, stainless steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, gas stoves, and a private fenced in parking area for each unit.
