Historic Warehouse Condos at 210 Ellicott Street

Located directly in the heart of Downtown Buffalo, The Historic Warehouse Condos building at 210 Ellicott Street is ready for some new residents. After becoming a 2008 Brick x Brick Finalist for Best Historic Restoration and Best Construction Project, and winning Preservation Buffalo Niagara’s Award for Best Rehabilitation in 2010, a handful of new condos have just become available for purchase.

Built in 1913, the building was originally the Seneca Paper Company’s warehouse and was one of the first constructed concrete frame warehouses in the entire United States. Now, the 7-story building has been redeveloped into 36 upscale residential condos. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located in one of the biggest up and coming area’s in Buffalo. Originally, Schneider Development only built 30 apartments on floors 3 - 7. Now, with a great deal of demand for residential space downtown, they decided to convert the 2nd floor into condos as well.

High Ceilings and an industrial feel

The new condos have that classic, big city condo vibe while offering quite a bit more space and creative design than normally achieved.

The Cost of a Downtown Buffalo Condo

Prices for the new condos, 2 of which have already been sold, range from $255k for a 1,040 square foot one bedroom, to $385k for just over 1500 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They offer a turn-key option for anyone looking to relocate to Buffalo’s Downtown. The building is very conveniently located directly across the street from what is going to be Buffalo’s newest Downtown grocery store. You can learn more about the future grocery store here if you’d like.

Schneider Development worked closely with Nest Interiors, a local interior design firm, to produce the very sleek and welcoming modern look that the condos possess. The industrial and historic past isn’t hidden, but instead is accented perfectly and incorporated into the overall design. Hardwood floors, an electric fireplace, and granite countertops are just a few of the beautiful design features.
