Pan-American Exposition in an Elmwood Village Home

History in the Elmwood Village

This historic Elmwood Village home, owned by Kevin and Neil Walker-Neveras, is featured in the latest issue of Buffalo Magazine (read the full article here) and is truly a unique piece of Buffalo history. It was built utilizing reused materials from the 1901 Buffalo hosted Pan-American Exposition.

Kevin and Neil both have a love for old homes and wanted to be sure to preserve as much of the original detail as possible. It’s very apparent that they succeeded in their goal from the moment you step in the front door. Beautiful hardwood floors, an entry-way glass art window, and stained, not painted, hardwood greets you immediately.

Hardwood Pocket Doors

The home has 2 beautiful hardwood pocket doors that open the living room and dining room up to the rest of the home.

Even the upgraded kitchen was tastefully renovated to accent all the historic features. The butler pantry was converted into a usable wine bar / kitchen storage area of sorts. For such a small room, it really stands out and becomes a feature on the kitchen area. It’s easy to see how much thought Kevin and Neil both put into every tiny detail of this beautiful and historic home.
